This project aims to restore biodiversity and the ecological balance of the Pic Macaya watershed. The grant supports the reduction of soil erosion and restoration of forest cover in the watershed through reforestation activities with native species, as well as training in environmental management and biodiversity conservation for youth groups living in the area so that they can contribute to reforestation activities and maintenance of areas replanted. The grant also contributes to improving the livelihoods of farmers in the area.
Strategic Direction:
2 Integrate biodiversity conservation into landscape and development planning and implementation in six conservation corridors
