Strengthen the capacity of two non-governmental organizations in the Solomon Islands, Lake Tegano World Heritage Site Association and East Rennell Council of Chiefs, to conserve East Rennell Key Biodiversity Area. Ensure these groups have a clear mandate from community members and an enhanced profile and influence with national-level stakeholders. And assist in building community consensus around an application for protected area status for Lake Tegano World Heritage Site.

Strategic Direction: 4 Increase local, national and regional capacity to conserve biodiversity through catalyzing civil society partnerships
