Establish a regional conservation area and two private conservation areas totaling 131,000 hectares in Peru’s Carpish Montane Forest using a community conservation model that will include co-management between communities and local governments. The project will fund technical studies; community consultations; capacity building for sustainable development; fundraising, management planning and implementation; and the establishment of local management committees.

Strategic Direction: 1 Improve protection and management of 36 priority KBAs to create and maintain local support for conservation and to mitigate key threats.
