Facilitate the transfer of knowledge on community-based fish conservation zones from the Indo-Burma Hotspot to civil society organizations in the Eastern Himalayas. Empower river-based communities with knowledge and skills to monitor fish stocks and changes in river hydrology, and build their capacities in managing fish conservation zones. Establish pilot fish conservation zones that serve as a policy demonstration model for wider replication in northeast India.
