Support local fishing communities to maintain traditional fisheries that allow for selective fishing, provide micro-habitats for fauna, and preserve seagrass beds. Help structure the fishing communities under a local committee, engage fisherfolk in biodiversity-friendly practices and promote ecotourism to diversify revenues.

Strategic Direction: 1 Support civil society to engage stakeholders in demonstrating integrated approaches for the conservation of biodiversity in coastal areas
