Undertake diversity studies of amphibians and reptiles in the Cordillera de Colán National Sanctuary through the collection of biological information (inventories) in order to define a baseline for the monitoring of the herpetofauna. The project also seeks to confirm the presence and evaluate the state of conservation of nine KBA-trigger amphibian species (Centrolene lemniscatum, C. muelleri, Hyloxalus aeruginosus, H. mittermeieri, Pristimantis cuneirostris, P. infraguttatus, P. karcharias and Telmatobius colanensis) that are categorized as insufficient data by IUCN. And contribute to science through publishing findings in scientific journals.

Strategic Direction: 5 Safeguard globally threatened species.
