Promote the Population-Health-Environment (PHE) approach to address the interconnected challenges of environmental degradation, limited community capacity for sustainable natural resource management, unmet family planning needs and the poor health of people living in Madagascar priority Key Biodiversity Areas. The project supports environmental organizations working at site level to include PHE approach, and promotes best practices to engage with communities on health-environment issues. Through a network of environmental and health organization, better health care will be provided to estimated 250,000 people living in or close to critically endangered ecosystems of the island.
