Work closely with the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Municipal Open Space System to promote stewardship and community based conservation in the Baakens Valley, a 23 kilometer stream running through the city. This is a classic urban greening program whose hallmarks will be, in addition to protecting an important key biodiversity area, enhancing awareness and safe access to a beautiful urban green-space, particularly for children and people who have no easy access to South Africa's more well-known national parks.

Strategic Direction: 2 Expand conservation areas and improve land use in 19 key biodiversity areas through innovative approaches
