The feasibility of restoring a two-hectare area of native forests on Maraeti'a Plateau (Punaruu Valley, Tahiti) is going to be assessed by several experts, with special focus on the different identified steps: fencing, control of rats' populations, and eradication of invasive plant species. The local organization would benefit from the shared experience with the experts, and, pending conclusive results, could implement the restoration project in the near future.

Strategic Direction: 2 Strengthen the conservation status and management of 60 key biodiversity areas
