The project will focus on strengthening the governance watershed council to support the Municipal Conservation and Sustainable Use Area (ACUS) Intag Toisán. The Intag – Toisan KBA (ECU 34) is part of the cluster corridor Paraguas – Munchique – Cotacachi-Awa. The project will consolidate the creation of four watershed committees, promote the inclusion of participatory budgets at the Municipal level to finance actions in the ACUS Management Plan, and promote alliances with Universities and other actors to develop research projects that will support the ACUS.
Strategic Direction:
6 Strengthen civil society capacity, stakeholder alliances and communications to achieve CEPF conservation outcomes, focusing on indigenous, Afro-descendent and mestizo groups.
