Protect Indigenous territories in Key Biodiversity Areas in Ecuador through conservation mechanisms such as Socio Bosque and Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs). Connect these territories with other protected areas, promoting the conservation of threatened species and climate change mitigation. Revitalize economic opportunities for local families through bioeconomy and bio-entrepreneurship, with a special focus on including women and youth in community decision-making spaces.

Strategic Direction: 1 Strengthen protection and management of 52 priority KBAs to foster participatory governance, green recovery from COVID-19, climate change resilience, species conservation, and financial sustainability.
