Determine the presence/absence of the surviving populations of the Critically Endangered Vietnam pheasant (Lophura hatinhensis) in the wild within Ke Go Nature Reserve in order to define the appropriate conservation response, either by studying the species in depth where still found in order to manage its remaining population (possibly through supplementation) or by assuming its extinction at the site and planning and implementing a reintroduction program using captive-bred birds.

Strategic Direction: 1 Safeguard priority globally threatened species by mitigating major threats
