Conserve the biodiversity specific to and associated with the seagrass beds of the great reef of Toliara by restoring degraded and recently silted-up areas with local communities. Train local communities and raise their awareness of bio-ecological restoration monitoring and the ecosystem services provided by seagrass beds. Reduce pressure from small-scale fishing and fix sediments in seagrass beds.

Strategic Direction: 1 Empower communities and civil society to implement actions to improve the resilience of species, ecosystems, and human populations to climate change in priority KBAs
