Achieve formal protection status for two key biodiversity areas on the island of San Salvador that cover approximately 4,700 hectares of habitat for the Endangered San Salvador Rock iguana (Cyclura rileyi) and large populations of ten seabird species. The grant supports several components, including community awareness-building, outreach to local and national decision makers, strengthening capacity for long-term management and monitoring, and development of a proposal for legal designation.

Strategic Direction: 1 Improve protection and management of 45 priority key biodiversity areas
