Increase capacity for women and youth and reduce threats from forest fires and illegal mining in Pilón Lajas Biosphere Reserve and Indigenous Territory, Bolivia. Strengthen management of the protected area through patrolling and park guard training, strengthen capacity for forest fire management, support women’s leadership training and livelihood projects, adopt sustainable financing instruments, build communications capacity, and integrate gender into organizational operations.

Strategic Direction: 1 Strengthen protection and management of 52 priority KBAs to foster participatory governance, green recovery from COVID-19, climate change resilience, species conservation, and financial sustainability.
