Improve the knowledge on the freshwater biodiversity of Oued Maden, Tunisia, and assess threats and socio-economic activities impacting on freshwater resources. Based on these studies, work with the river basin authority to adapt its practices for conserving threatened species, and create a local Site Support Group to support long-term monitoring and local action in favor of biodiversity.

Strategic Direction: 2 Support the sustainable management of water catchments through integrated approaches for the conservation of threatened freshwater biodiversity
