Facilitate the understanding and participation of local communities on Boa Vista Island, Cape Verde, in marine turtle conservation work by developing a set of strategies showing that sustainable use and management of the turtles improves community living conditions. The project will advance the management framework for turtle tours and create income-generating initiatives derived from turtle conservation and tourist activities.
