Project Overview Overview
CEPF Strategic Direction Strategy

Bridge critical knowledge gaps regarding mangrove ecosystems in West Africa, particularly in Côte d'Ivoire's Parc National d’Azagny by combining data from biophysical, chemical, and ecological surveys. Identify biodiversity using environmental DNA, develop a conservation framework with local managers and populations, and raise public awareness about mangrove preservation. The outcomes will support national policies, facilitate conservation actions, and enable mangroves to contribute to decarbonization and carbon trading initiatives.

Strategic Direction: 2 Mainstream biodiversity conservation into public policy and private sector practice in the nine conservation corridors, at local, sub-national and national levels
