Build on the results of WWF's Sea-Med and Thetis Conseil's projects by strengthening the capacities of local civil society on Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) in five sites from three countries of North Africa: Ghar El Melh (Tunisia); Guerbès (Algeria); and Cap des trois fourches, Sebkha Bou Areg and Moulouya (Morocco). Mobilize stakeholders from civil society and local governments around a shared vision, and support the establishment of a platform for dialogue on each site. Following a needs assessment, develop specific training modules on coastal zone management, adapted to the national regulations. Advocacy work is also launched at the regional level, with a review of national regulations, exchange of experience between countries, including for parliamentarians from each country, in the context of the operationalization of the Madrid Protocol on ICZM in North Africa.
