Enhance the capacities of civil society organizations throughout the Albertine Rift Region to improve the transparency of environmental impact assessment (EIA) policies and ensure that the legal participatory processes are well respected. The project will promote networking and alliance-building toward joint advocacy in EIA issues across the region, develop appropriate partnerships within and outside the Central Rift for effective NGO engagement in EIA advocacy, and develop a knowledge resource repository function linked to the ARCOS website and portal.

Strategic Direction: 2 Improve the protection and management of the KBA network throughout the hotspot.
