Develop a civil society network for bird conservation in coastal southern China;training at least five local groups in awareness-raising, monitoring and advocacy to government. Support local groups to put this training into practice, thereby leading to changed attitudes and behavior among local communities and increased action by government agencies to tackle illegal trapping and trading of wild birds.

Strategic Direction: 8 Strengthen the capacity of civil society to work on biodiversity, communities and livelihoods at regional, national, local and grassroots levels
